Three Sides of the Coin Lived Experience Performance

Three Sides of the Coin (3SOC) empowers people with lived experience of addiction to become advocates for change.

Their personal stories are shared through both online and live performances to educate the community and train workforces
about the links between addiction and  other health issues including drugs, alcohol, mental health, family violence and justice. The purpose is to reduce stigma, humanise the people behind the addiction and increase help-seeking.

3SOC video stories are not freely available online, but you can watch a trailer here:

Breakout Rooms

Morning Session:   Three Sides of the Coin storytelling for change
Watch the films of two lived experience storytellers who have presented in many workplace and community settings. Hear about the impact and the way they use their stories to bring change – in AOD, mental health, family violence, and justice sectors.

Afternoon Session:  3SOC Storytelling workshop with 3SOC artistic director Catherine Simmonds OAM
How embodying your story builds courage and enables you to communicate within your workplace and more broadly in life.  We will watch a debut live performance scene by two new 3SOC storytellers, followed by a Q&A.
